California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), is a public four-year university in Carson, CA. The Queen Mary was once a proud British ocean liner named after the beloved Queen of England. This impressive 2,139 passenger steam ship made its maiden voyage across the North Atlantic Ocean in 1936. After the war, the ship resumed peacetime passenger voyages until it retired from service in 1967. Today, the Queen Mary is owned by the City of Long Beach and serves as a popular museum and hotel.
